Hi, I am Stefan, and I have been sailing for over 40 years. As a professional skipper and founder of Ibiza Daysailing, I offer private sailing trips, sunset cruises, and tailor-made boat charters around Ibiza and Formentera.

It all began in the mid-70s when my parents bought our first sailboat. From our home port near Amsterdam to long-distance voyages through the Baltic Sea and the English Channel, I practically grew up on the water. In the late 80s, we moved our boat to the Mediterranean, and I spent years sailing along the French Riviera. In 2010, I found my new home in Barcelona—a city I fell in love with immediately—but after a few years, I felt the urge to explore the Balearic Islands.

In 2016, I ended my career in event management to dedicate myself entirely to professional sailing. With my near-lifelong experience on everything that floats—from high-performance racing yachts to classic sailboats and commercial vessels—I knew I had found my calling. After obtaining my commercial Yachtmaster license, I worked on classic yachts and racing boats until I realized: I want to share this passion on my own terms.

Ibiza is an island of a thousand possibilities. There are days for beach clubs, champagne showers, and loud beats—and there are fantastic experts on Ibiza for all of that.

At Ibiza Daysailing, however, we have consciously chosen the “quieter” path. We believe that the sea is a privilege best enjoyed when you can hear it—the sea, not the bass.

• Quality over hustle: In addition to well-known spots, we prefer to head for secluded bays where you can still hear a fish jump. Our charters are designed for people who want to shift down a gear and set their own pace—without any staging, but with plenty of room for genuine moments.
• Professional yet relaxed: Professional excellence is our standard, but the dress code is “barefoot.” We offer nautical diligence and absolute discretion, paired with the serenity that comes after so many years on the water.
