ABOUT US
SOMETHING PERSONAL
It all started in the mid-70s when my parents bought our first sailboat. Our boat was based near Amsterdam, just a two-hour drive from my hometown in Germany. During the season, we spent nearly every weekend on board, and during summer holidays, we went on many long-distance cruises.
Our sailing trips took us across the Baltic Sea (Denmark, Germany), the English Channel coasts (Netherlands, England, Belgium, France), and the Channel Islands down to the Bay of Biscay. In the late 80s, we decided to move our boat to the Mediterranean, where we sailed extensively along the French Riviera. From 2010 until 2016, our homeport was Barcelona. I fell in love with this gorgeous city and decided to leave Germany to live there.
In 2016, I decided to say goodbye to my career in event management and start a new chapter. With sailing experience since early childhood, four years of nautical studies, and experience working on commercial cargo vessels traveling to the U.S. East Coast, Brazil, and Argentina, I decided to become a professional sailor.
In 2014, I obtained my Commercial Yachtmaster License and started my first job as a skipper on a fantastic 71-foot classic sailboat from 1928, based in Ibiza. In 2015, I returned to Barcelona to work on a high-performance racing sailboat, conducting day and sunset trips. During these two years, I gained invaluable experience in the charter business, hosting hundreds of happy customers from all over the world. All these wonderful experiences made me realize:
I have found my destiny!
In 2016, I started living my dream – offering sailing and sunset trips in Ibiza. But why Ibiza? I totally fell in love (again) with this very special and beautiful island. For sailors, Ibiza is a paradise! Especially when offering trips to guests who may have little to no sailing experience. The weather conditions are very reliable, and seasickness is rarely an issue because the sea is usually very calm. In Ibiza, you find so many mind-blowing bays, perfect for anchoring, swimming, and snorkeling in crystal-clear, warm water. I truly love sharing this unique experience, and it makes me happy to see the big smiles on my guests' faces when they realize that the simple things in life are often the best.
After almost ten years in the charter industry, my partners and I know the waters around Ibiza and Formentera intimately – from the "places to be" to the more secluded, attractive bays. Our guests are consistently enthusiastic and grateful for the unforgettable memories they collect. Many have become "repeaters," and true friendships have developed.
Class instead of mass: Our partners are carefully chosen because we are not interested in simply having a large number of boats. It has to fit our concept. We are highly service-oriented and take enormous pleasure in creating a relaxed atmosphere on board while responding to individual requests whenever possible.
